11 best GatherUp alternatives
We like GatherUp. They dropped review gating in 2018, said so in public, and quote Google's own rule on their help pages. The reason people leave is arithmetic. It is $99 a month for 1 location and $60 a month per location after that, and $60 never falls, even at 100 branches.

GatherUp alternatives compared
GatherUp itself is $99 a month, then $60 a location.

What sends people looking past GatherUp
Each of these came from their own pages, not from our opinion.
$60 a location at every volume
Their price bands run from 2 to 10 up to 101 or more, and every band shows the same $60. There is no discount for scale.
$99 for a single location
Five times what a small tool charges for the same core job.
Listings sync is another $40 a location
The Listings Hub add on is priced on top of the plan.
Review Defense has no price
It is listed with 3 plans and no figures.
11 alternatives, in order
1. FiveStariz (our product)
$19 a month, 1 location. A free plan that sends email requests, plus a trial of everything.
Ours. The case is the per location rate: $5 a location from 10 against their $60. For 10 branches that is $50 a month against $600. They read more sites than us and have surveys and keyword tagging, so this is not a clean win.
2. Grade.us
$99 a month, then $60 a location. 14 day trial, 3 seats.
The same $99 and $60 price card, same bands. Worth knowing they publish identical pricing. The difference is the agency tooling, and that review gating ships as a setting in their funnel.
3. Reviewgrower
$37 a month, free plan available. A real free plan, no texts on it.
$37 a month, free tier, 85 or more sites read, and a map rank tracker. The closest cheap match on features.
4. LocalClarity
About $16 a location a month. A trial with no length published.
If what you need from GatherUp is the review inbox across many branches, this does it for roughly $16 a location. It does not send requests, so it is half the job at a quarter of the price.
5. Semrush Local
$30 a location a month, paid yearly. 7 day trial across Semrush.
$30 a location for listing management and review replies, $60 if you need review generation too. At the $60 tier you are back at GatherUp money.
6. Synup
$49 a month, 1 location. 14 day trial of the Solo plan.
Cheap at 1 location and at 25 or more. The 2 to 10 band costs $299 a month flat, which is worse than GatherUp under 5 branches and better above it.
7. Moz Local
$16 a month, paid yearly. No trial on any tier.
$16 a month paid yearly, from a brand that publishes everything and needs no demo. Review generation starts at $24, and replies only reach Google and Facebook.
8. ReviewTrackers
No published price. None mentioned.
The upgrade rather than the saving. 100 or more review sources, strong analytics, and the clearest anti gating statement in this market. No published price.
9. Reputation
$80 a location a month. None mentioned.
$80 a location a month, so dearer than GatherUp. On the list because it publishes a real enterprise price, which almost none of its rivals do.
10. HiFiveStar
$39 a month. A free plan that cannot send requests.
$39 a month for a single location, with drafted replies. Check their rating step setting, because GatherUp's whole point is that they removed theirs.
11. Vendasta
$99 a month minimum spend. 14 day trial.
The agency wholesale route if you are reselling GatherUp to clients. $99 a month minimum spend, with 1 year contracts on the bigger tiers.
How we picked these
- We read the price on each company's own website on 18 October 2026 and wrote down the date. Nothing came from a blog or a comparison article.
- Where a company publishes no price, the list says so instead of repeating a figure from somewhere else.
- We checked each one for review filtering, and we quote the vendor's own words rather than guessing.
- We left in the tools that beat us, and said what they do better.
- We put our own product first and labelled it, because hiding that would make this an advert.
Prices change. Check the vendor's own page before you decide anything.
GatherUp alternatives, answered
How much does GatherUp cost?
$99 a month for 1 location and $60 a month per location for 2 or more, read on their own pricing page on 18 October 2026. The listings add on is $40 a location. Annual billing saves 20 per cent and there is a 14 day trial.
Is GatherUp the same company as Grade.us?
They publish the same price card, with the same figures and the same location bands. We read both pages on 18 October 2026. We cannot confirm ownership, so we will only report that the pricing is identical.
What is the cheapest GatherUp alternative for 10 locations?
Per location, ours is $5 from 10, so $50 a month against their $600. LocalClarity reads reviews at roughly $16 a location but does not ask for them. Moz Local is $16 a month, though the cards do not say per location, so check that with them.
Does GatherUp do review gating?
No. They stopped in 2018 and wrote that asking every customer "does, in fact, help them build a better reputation". Their help page quotes Google's rule against it. We take exactly the same position.
