An API and webhooks for anything else
A plain REST API, 11 webhook events and a signed payload, so you can wire this into whatever you run.
If your software is not on our connector list and does not talk to Zapier, you can do it yourself. The API does everything the app does. Webhooks push events to you as they happen, signed so you can tell they came from us.
How it works
A REST API with real tokens
Create a key in Settings and call the same endpoints the app uses. Send a request, read your reviews, add a contact, pull your numbers.
Eleven webhook events
Request created, sent, opened, replied and failed. Review clicked and new reviews found. Feedback received. Testimonial received. Contact opted out.
Signed, so you can trust it
Every delivery carries a signature header and an event header. Check the signature and you know the payload is ours and was not changed.
Retries that back off
A delivery that fails is retried with a growing gap rather than hammering your endpoint. You can see every attempt and replay one by hand.
Zapier, Make and n8n
Before you write any code, check whether one of these does it.
Our Zapier app
Published and tested against a live server, so it behaves like a proper connection.
A Make app
The same triggers and actions for Make.
An n8n node
For anyone self hosting their automation.
Email BCC
If your software only emails invoices, BCC us and we read the customer out of it.
All 4 are listed on the integrations page with what each one can trigger.
For developers, answered
Do I need the API to connect my job software?
Usually not. Jobber, Square, QuickBooks and Clio connect in a click, several more take a pasted key, and anything with Zapier works already. The API is for the cases none of that covers.
Is there a sandbox?
Test mode covers most of it. Requests in test mode run the whole flow, log what would have happened, and send nothing to a real customer.
What are the rate limits?
Enough for normal use and stated in the response headers. If you are planning something heavy, tell us what you need before you build it.
The rest of it
Try it on your own customers
Add your business, send 1 request to your own phone, and see the whole thing end to end.
