Nobody gets asked who said no
STOP replies, carrier opt outs, unsubscribe links and your own do not ask list, all permanent.
Getting this wrong is how a business ends up with a blocked number and an angry customer. One person saying stop has to mean stop everywhere, for good, no matter which part of the system tries to contact them next.
How it works
STOP works, in every language we send
A reply of STOP, and the usual variants, opts the person out immediately and permanently.
Carrier opt outs are honoured too
When a mobile network tells us a number has opted out, we record it and never try again, even though the customer never told us directly.
Every email has a real unsubscribe
One click, no login, no "manage preferences" maze. It is recorded the same way as a STOP.
Your own do not ask list beats everything
Upload the people you never want contacted. That list wins over every automation, every bulk run and every manual send.
In 1 place, not 5
An opt out that is checked in 4 places out of 5 is not an opt out. Every outgoing message, however it was triggered, goes through the same check before it is sent.
- One list, checked last. Manual sends, bulk runs, automations and API calls all pass the same gate.
- Re-checked at send time, not when the message was queued. Someone who opts out while a run is going out is not sent to.
- It survives a re-import. Uploading an old spreadsheet with that person in it does not bring them back.
- You can see why someone was skipped, rather than wondering if it worked.
The small print is on our text message terms.
Opt outs, answered
Can I remove someone from the opt out list?
Not from the app, and that is on purpose. If a customer genuinely asks to start hearing from you again, contact us and we will record why.
Does an opt out stop my invoices too?
No. It stops review requests from us. Your own invoices and job emails come from your own software and are not affected.
What if I upload a list with opted out people in it?
They are skipped and shown in the report with the reason. Nothing is sent and nothing is quietly re-enabled.
The rest of it
Try it on your own customers
Add your business, send 1 request to your own phone, and see the whole thing end to end.
