Managed review service

Widewail review

A managed review response and invitation service for car dealerships, priced per rooftop at $500 a month and up.

Written by the team at FiveStariz, who sell a competing product. Every number here was read on widewail.com on 18 October 2026. We say where they beat us.

The short answer. Not software you run, but a service that answers your reviews for you, aimed squarely at car dealers. At $500 a month per location it is the most expensive thing on this list. For a dealer group with staff costs to compare against, that can still make sense.

Core, per rooftop. Pro is $750 and Customer Clarity is $1,200, all per month per single rooftop. Dealer groups are quoted separately. Prices change, so check widewail.com before you decide.

What it is

What Widewail actually does

  • Managed review responses, written by their team rather than by you.
  • Review invitations, with routing of reviews to the service or sales Google listing.
  • Private customer surveys, included in all 3 packages.
  • Their own automotive review dataset, which they call the Widewail Index.

Ours, for the same job: $19 for 1 location, $29 with a team, $5 per location from 10 with your own brand on it.

What Widewail does well

  • They publish the price, which almost no managed service does.
  • A human writing every reply is a different product from drafting software, and for a busy dealership it removes a real job.
  • Routing reviews to the right Google listing for sales or service is a specific problem they have solved.
  • The automotive focus means the product fits one industry properly instead of fitting none.

Where it falls short

  • $500 a month per rooftop, which is about 26 times our Solo plan.
  • No free plan and no trial is mentioned.
  • "Private Customer Surveys" and "review routing" are both listed without explanation, so we cannot say whether anything is filtered.
  • No review site count and no named platforms beyond Google Business Profile.
  • If you are not a car dealer, the product is not built for you.

Questions

Widewail, answered

How much does Widewail cost?

Core is $500 a month, Pro $750 and Customer Clarity $1,200, all per month for a single rooftop. We read these on their pricing page on 18 October 2026. Multi rooftop and dealer group pricing is configured per group, with no published figures.

Does Widewail do review gating?

We cannot tell. Their packages include "Private Customer Surveys" and something called "review routing", neither of which the page explains. A private survey running before the review ask would be gating. Ask them to describe the order of the steps.

Is Widewail worth $500 a month?

If it replaces a person writing replies all day, possibly. Compare it against the hours it saves rather than against software. If you want to write your own replies, this is a lot of money for that.

Want the asking done for less?

FiveStariz is $19 a month, the price is on the page, and there is no setup fee.
