Trustpilot review
A public review platform where the reviews live on your Trustpilot profile, sold per web domain on a yearly contract.
Written by the team at FiveStariz, who sell a competing product. Every number here was read on business.trustpilot.com on 18 October 2026. We say where they beat us.
| Price | $99 a month |
| Best for | An online shop or a national brand that wants a review profile customers already recognise. |
| Not for | A local business whose customers find them on Google Maps. |
Starter, billed a year up front. Every contract is a 12 month commitment, in their own words. Prices change, so check business.trustpilot.com before you decide.
What Trustpilot actually does
- Invitations to review your business on your Trustpilot profile.
- Widgets to show those reviews on your own website.
- A free account with 50 invitations a month, which is real and permanent.
- Priced per web domain rather than per location, which is the whole difference.
What Trustpilot charges

What Trustpilot does well
- The free plan with 50 invitations a month is the most generous free tier in this market.
- The brand is known to shoppers, which can matter at the checkout.
- Their guidelines ban gating in plain language, and they enforce it.
- Widgets and badges are mature and well built.
Where it falls short
- Every contract is a 12 month commitment, prepaid, in their own words.
- Priced per domain, so a business with 1 website and 12 branches gets 1 profile.
- The reviews live on Trustpilot. They do not help your Google listing.
- Their own page is inconsistent about whether Starter is per domain. It says both.
- Starter is marked available to new customers only, and designed for businesses under $5m revenue.
Trustpilot and FiveStariz
We make a competing product, so read this with that in mind. The comparison page has the long version, including the parts where they win.
Trustpilot, answered
How much does Trustpilot cost?
There is a free plan with 50 invitations a month. Paid plans start from $99 a month for Starter, $319 for Plus and $799 for Premium, all billed a year up front. We read these on their plans page on 18 October 2026. All contracts are a 12 month commitment.
Does Trustpilot allow review gating?
No, and their rules are the clearest in this market. They ban "inviting only those people who you know have had a positive experience" and ask you to invite everyone the same way at the same point. We agree with them.
Is Trustpilot better than Google reviews for a local business?
For most local trades, no. Your customers search Google Maps and read the reviews there. A Trustpilot profile is useful for an online shop or a national brand. If you only have budget for 1 thing, put the reviews on Google.
Want the asking done for less?
FiveStariz is $19 a month, the price is on the page, and there is no setup fee.
