What GatherUp actually does
- Review requests by email and text, with 300 texts and 3,000 emails included per location each month.
- Review monitoring across 100 or more sites, which they state plainly on the pricing page.
- Surveys with NPS, keyword tagging, review widgets and a badge.
- Replies in the app, with automatic replies for good reviews and drafts for the rest.
- Review Defense, which flags suspicious reviews. It has 3 plans and no published price.

What GatherUp does well
- They dropped review gating in 2018 and said so in public. Their own help page quotes Google's rule against it. That is the same position we take.
- Monitoring across 100 or more sites is wider than ours, and they publish the number.
- Surveys, keyword tagging and widgets are real products we do not have.
- A 14 day free trial, with no card needed.
- Annual billing saves 20 per cent.
Where it falls short
- $99 a month for 1 location is 5 times our Solo plan for the same core job.
- $60 a location does not fall at any volume. At 100 locations you still pay $60 each.
- Listings sync is a $40 per location add on, on top.
- Review Defense has no published price.
- No free plan.

How much does GatherUp cost?
$99 a month for 1 location, or $60 a month per location for 2 or more. We read both on their own pricing page on 18 October 2026. The listings add on is $40 a month per location. Annual billing saves 20 per cent. There is a 14 day trial and no free plan.
Does GatherUp do review gating?
No, and they are the clearest company in this market about it. They stopped in 2018 and wrote that asking every customer "does, in fact, help them build a better reputation". Their help page quotes Google's rule. We agree with them completely.
Are GatherUp and Grade.us the same company?
They publish the same price card. $99 for 1 location and $60 per location after that, with the same bands. We read both pages on 18 October 2026 and they match. We cannot confirm ownership, so we will only say the pricing is identical.
What is a cheaper GatherUp alternative?
We are $19 a month for 1 location and $5 a location from 10. For a 10 location chain that is the difference between $600 a month and $50. They read more sites than us and have surveys, so the honest answer depends on whether you need those.
