Listings platform

Yext review

A listings and digital presence platform, sold self serve up to 10 locations and by sales above that.

Written by the team at FiveStariz, who sell a competing product. Every number here was read on yext.com on 18 October 2026. We say where they beat us.

The short answer. Their self serve plans are a listings product first. Review monitoring only appears on the $999 a year tier, and even then it watches reviews rather than asking for them. Every plan runs for 12 months.

What it is

What Yext actually does

  • Listings syndication to a large network of search engines, maps and directories.
  • Structured content about your products, services and staff.
  • Location pages and site search.
  • Review monitoring, on the Premium package only.
  • Anything above 10 locations is a sales conversation.

Complete$499Per year. Adds products, services, calendars, staff bios and analytics.
Premium$999Per year. Adds review monitoring and website widgets.

Ours, for the same job: $19 for 1 location, $29 with a team, $5 per location from 10 with your own brand on it.

What Yext does well

  • The publisher network is the biggest in this market and that is their real product.
  • Structured content about services and staff is more than a listing.
  • Prices for the self serve packages are published in full.
  • Their enterprise reviews product claims 80 or more platforms, with asks by email, text or QR code.

Where it falls short

  • All plans last 12 months, even the cheapest, in their own words.
  • Review monitoring only arrives at $999 a year.
  • The self serve tiers monitor reviews. They do not ask for them.
  • Prices are shown per week but charged annually, which makes them look smaller.
  • More than 10 locations means a demo, with no published pricing at all.

Questions

Yext, answered

How much does Yext cost?

The self serve packages are $199, $449, $499 and $999 a year, read on their plans page on 18 October 2026. Note that yext.com/pricing does not exist and the live path is /plans. Every plan lasts 12 months. Above 10 locations there is no published price.

Does Yext ask customers for reviews?

Not on the self serve plans. Review monitoring appears on the Premium package at $999 a year, and monitoring means watching, not asking. Their enterprise product does send requests by email, text and QR code, and it has no published price.

Is Yext a review tool?

It is a listings platform with reviews attached at the top tier. If your business details are wrong across the web, Yext fixes that properly. If you want more reviews, a $999 a year monitoring tier is a poor way to buy it. We are $19 a month and we do not do listings.

Want the asking done for less?

FiveStariz is $19 a month, the price is on the page, and there is no setup fee.
